Dragon coins feature update.

Dear Dragonadopters users,

we have payed close attention to the recent poll about paying money for ingame features and we know that many people cannot buy.

For personal and internal reasons we are removing the option to buy Dragon Coins.
The purchase price will be returned back to the ones who payed, but can keep all additional features and spend the remaining coins.

Instead you will be able to exchange a large amount of ingame resources for Dragon Coins. We haven't defined the exact number yet, but this option will be implemented in the near future. The Dragon Coins board on the forum will be shut down, but the Commissions Board will remain open so artists can get commissioned with Dragon Coins.

We sincerely apologize to all the users for the trouble we have caused with this feature.

While I appreciate the ability to get them sans cash, wouldn't it be beneficial to have them obtainable through both ways? Of course, if you had your reasons you had them, but I might as well make a suggestion.

I think this is a much better idea. I do agree with SilentSkieBlue, it'd be great to have it both ways.

Perhaps too late, but I think (as SilentSkieBlue said) it would be a great idea to have both the ability to pay for coins and to use in game resources to acquire coins. Those that choose to pay will help support the expense of operating this site; those not wanting or unable to pay still have a method of acquiring coins, which I think levels things out (where folks were complaining of an inequity).

This site is free, but whit the new feature (Dragon Coins) the site convert in a commercial game, I think is better haven't DC. ~~ Tanga96

You see, this is why I like this site... At first, people were complaining and when you saw that you decided to change it so that everyone could enjoy the feature. You may not be getting the money, but by doing this you show that you don't care about the money... *thumb*

Just stupid. They put down this feature for all those complaining people? Well, those people have to thank their epic fail for this, and need to learn that a site cost money. Yes why can't we pay for it also? we support DrA!

I applaud the fact that complaints were addressed and the system changed to accommodate everyone. It puts the Staff here in a great light. Websites are expensive as expletive to run, so having it both ways -- so that those who CAN Donate will, and those incapable are still able to enjoy the benefits -- is an utterly acceptable and reasonable idea.. should you choose to edit the system yet again. ^-TT;
