11th Species Under Development

But it will still take some time until this species is going to be released, so there is enough time to collect Dragon Coins to buy a new dragon slot.
I won't give any more information now apart from this shadow.

Winter Theme!

We are now taking staff applications
By Wayvern on October 24, 2011 - 09:01It's been a long time since we last held moderator applications, so we thought is was about time we found out how many of you are interested out there, and more importantly how many of your who are interested are currently eligible.
Don't worry if you are not eligible this time around, it may be you just need to wait until you are the right age, or have played the game a little longer so that you are more knowledgeable in the game before you will be able to apply.
We currently have a couple of background moderator positions available, this will involve having moderator access to the background boards both ingame & the forum, and can be one of the most demanding available for a moderator position.

If you have not visited the forums before now is a good time to check them out. Urgent news, please read: False ID's & Sites
By Wayvern on September 04, 2011 - 09:11To further our previous warning of phishing sites being created to fool our members into providing their account passwords and emails, there is now a new threat. A false profile on facebook has been created claiming to be me, username “Way Vern” once again offering free Dragonadopters items for your account password and this time around email password, this is not me! Do not under any circumstances give out your passwords.

Please be aware, I do not normally respond to messages outside of dragonaopdters other than to direct you to using PM here on Dragonadopters to contact me.
There are two main rules to remember:
1: Never give out your password/s. Not even the staff will ask you for your account password or email password.
2: To help prevent yourself from getting caught out with one of these scams remember that we do not give out free items, nor hold competitions for prizes anywhere other than here on Dragonadopters and its official forum:

If the address does not match, then you are not on Dragonadopters, do not be fooled in false login screens.
Please also be aware that we will currently not be responding to any email change requests. If you have already given out your email password in this scam then please make sure you change your password, or if you are unable to log into your email use the forgotten password option found on your email account. If you have trouble regaining your email please contact your email provider for assistance.
Once you have re-gained your email you will then be able to use the forgotten password option ingame.
Please post here if you think you have found any more suspicious sites or false ID’s. Feel free to PM me or Thaz if you have further information to help with this.
Update: false PM's are now circulating from an individual trying to gain access to members accounts by claiming to have been hacked. Accounts involved have been perm banned, but be aware and report any further occurrences.

Beware of false PM's & false sites
By Wayvern on August 03, 2011 - 19:16It has been brought to our attention that there have been a few incidences of PM's received that are phishing.
Phishing is a way of attempting to acquire sensitive information such as your real name, personal telephone number, email, bank details and similar personal information by masquerading as a trustworthy entity, or as in this case, a false story was engineered to gain sympathy and your trust.
You will be glad to hear that the account "swilly" that was involved has been perm banned, but if anyone receives a similar PM from anyone else, please, please do not respond, use the report button found on the offending PM and a member of staff will deal with it.
False sites:
It has also been brought to our attention of a member creating a false site claiming to give free items on Dragonadopters. The site asks members to fill in their username, password and email then select the free item they wish, this is a scam! Never give out your password, not even our own staff will need to ask you for your password. The site in question has been reported and the member involved has been perm banned from ever playing on this game.

New Species Release Date
By thaz on July 03, 2011 - 16:25Finally I can give you the release date of the new dragon species called Plesiodragon.
This will be the tenth species on Dragonadopters and will produce Reptile Scales.
The Plesiodragon mostly lives underwater but can have all the elements, it will sort of have water as "second element". However, this wont affect the gameplay, it's just like the Dark Dragon having "darkness" as second element.
The Plesiodragon release date is: Sunday, 17 July around 6:00 pm (18:00, GMT+0:00 without summer time). Check out the countdown at the right menu. 
Please note that the number of dragons that can be adopted without coins will still stay at 7.
